ABSTRACT GUIDELINES

Abstract Submission Rules

The only valid method for abstract submission is via email to the address specified on the congress website (nororehabilitasyon@gedik.edu.tr).
The English title and abstract must be equivalent to the Turkish title and abstract. The abstract should briefly state the aim and methods of the study or research, and the main findings should be detailed enough to support the conclusion.

The first sentence should contain the aim of the research, and the last sentence should include the conclusion of the study. New and significant aspects of the study or observations should be highlighted. No references should be cited in the abstract. Since the abstracts will be printed as submitted online, attention should be paid to spelling errors. Authors are responsible for all spelling mistakes.

Writing Rules

  • Abstracts should be submitted to the email address provided on the congress website.
  • Academic titles should not be used in the author names.
  • Names should be written in lowercase letters, with only the first letter capitalized. (Example: Mehmet Küçük)
  • The name and address of the institution the authors are affiliated with must be included. (Example: Xxxx University, Faculty of Medicine, Xxxx Department, Istanbul)
  • Only the first letter of the abstract title should be capitalized (acronyms are exceptions). (Example: Xxxxx xxxx xxxxxx xxxxx xxx XXX xxxx xxxx)
  • If an abbreviation is used in the abstract, the full name of the abbreviation should be given in parentheses.
  • The abstract should briefly state the purpose and methods of the study, summarize the findings with sufficient numerical details, and explain the conclusion based on the presented findings.
  • The abstract should be written under the headings: aim, method, findings, and conclusion. Keywords should be between 3 and 5.
  • The entire abstract, excluding the title and author’s name, should be between 150 and 250 words.
  • The font style and size should be Times New Roman, 12 pt. Any abstract not complying with these rules will be excluded from evaluation, regardless of its content.

Evaluation of Abstracts

The evaluation will be done through a blind review process, where the authors’ names, surnames, and institutions will be kept confidential. In order for the abstract to be considered, at least one of the authors must complete the congress registration process.

The Scientific Committee reserves the right to change abstracts into oral or poster presentations and to make the final decision. The results of the evaluation will be sent to all abstract submitters, and it is important for authors to pay attention to the final decision regarding the format of their presentation.
